2019 Greenwood Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game
On Friday, May 3, fifth graders from Greenwood Elementary played an intense game of basketball against the faculty. The purpose of the game is not only fun, but to help raise money for Dr. Marino’s summer reading program. Each Friday during the summer, Dr. Marino will be at the Kennett Library in town handing out books to any Greenwood student between 2:00-5:00 pm.

The Greenwood PTO is busy preparing for next year and is looking for new executive board members starting June 2019. Open positions are two year terms and include President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Please email Melissa Gannon at melissacg@verizon.net if you are interested and would like more information!
President – Serve as a liaison with the school and run the PTO meetings
Vice President – Oversee the committees
Treasurer – Maintain the budget and provide an update on the finances at PTO meetings
Secretary – Prepare minutes for all PTO meetings

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Greenwood- Monday, March 18-22nd with a preview day on Friday, March 15 from 6:00-8:00 pm during Movie Night!
There will be a free raffle. Prize is a $25.00 gift card to use at our Book Fair! All may enter!
Who will wear a dinosaur tail? Handmade by our own art teacher, Mrs. Bergman!
Vote for Dr. Marino, Mr. Boyer, Mrs. Weaver or Mr. Rafferty! Whoever collects the most money for the book fair wins!
Please see your child’s Book Fair schedule below to visit the book fair. You can send in money for your child to shop, volunteer during their classroom visit or shop with your child!
Please sign up to volunteer at our Book Fair! We need help setting up and helping the children shop- it is fun!

Lastly, we have a used book sale. All books are $0.50-$1.00. Please donate any gently used books to help! Clean off your shelf to make room for new books! All proceeds benefit the PTO.
